Bibliothèque Champlain - Université de Moncton
Opened in 1965, Bibliothèque Champlain recently marked its 50 th anniversary with a celebration of past accomplishments and the anticipation of great things to come. Champlain is the cornerstone of the Université de Moncton’s library network which encompasses libraries on campuses in Edmundston, Shippagan, as well as the Michel-Bastarache Law Library which is located beside Bibliothèque Champlain.
The Champlain building includes the Centre d’études acadiennes Anselme-Chiasson and a Statistics Canada center for research data. Champlain also houses the Esther and Isadore Fine Inuit Art Collection. Consisting of 242 pieces, this assortment of sculptures features over 150 artists from 1930 to 1975.
