New membership benefits are now available to you! Save on car rentals, hotel stays and wireless plans. Please see attached for the details.
APLA members are able to enjoy these benefits as a spinoff of their association's participation in The Partnership, an affiliation of all provincial and territorial library associations in Canada. Other initiatives of The Partnership include the Education Institute, the Job Board, and Partnership: the Canadian Journal of Library and Information Practice and Research. APLA has been actively involved in The Partnership since its inception. In fact, two of our past presidents have been major contributors: Su Cleyle as current (and first ever) chair of the group, and Jennifer Richard as founding editor of the journal.
The new member benefits coming to you today were unveiled at the August meeting of The Partnership in Toronto, attended by VP/President Elect Lou Duggan and me. I am delighted to share this good news with you, and I thank the Ontario Library Association for negotiating these deals on our behalf.
